Sensei Peter Fielder

Sensei Peter Fielder 4th Dan

Instructor of Farnborough Wado-Kai Karate Club

Peter Fielder started his karate journey back in 1983 at Farnham Wado karate club, under Sensei Barry Wilkinson at Farnham sports centre.

Peter has enjoyed many years fighting in competitions and winning trophies in both team and individual events. He was a member of the winning teams during the Waverley championships in the late 1980’s and participated in other championships such as the Portsmouth opens. Peter decided to stop active fighting and train for his judges certificate which still gives him some involvement on the competition floor.

After gaining his 1st Dan in 1986 he was invited to join the Independent Schools Karate Association (ISKA) alongside his chief instructor Sensei Barry Wilkinson to teach professionally at local Private Schools - Charterhouse, Lord Wandsworth College and Boxhills College - which he did for a number of years.

Peter Fielder has been teaching at his own Karate Club in Camberley (now Farnborough) for 36 years. He also covers other clubs when required and has seen many students progress through to Senior grades.

Throughout his time in Karate Peter Fielder has been taught by several of the high ranking instructors in the Wado style including Master Toru Arakawa (9th Dan), Sensei Shingo Ohgami (8th Dan) and his chief instructor Sensei Barry Wilkinson (8th Dan).
