Rules

The tournament will take place under the FWE competition rules which can be found at: https://www.wadokai.eu/downloads.

This is a Wado only kata tournament, kata from other styles will not be permitted and may result in disqualification.

Where numbers allow, repechage will be used to determine bronze medal positions.

The organisers reserve the right to merge categories on the day if required.

An up-to-date licence is required to participate. Please check in advance that your licence is in-date and bring it with you on the day

Individual Kata

7th Kyu and under can repeat any kata

6th to 4th Kyu can alternate between 2 kata

3rd Kyu and above must use different kata each round

Pairs Kata

Under 16 years of age can repeat any kata

16 years of age and over can alternate between 2 kata

Team Kata

Teams can repeat any kata.

Fees

Entry Fees

• Individual - £15
• Pairs - £25 per pair
• Teams - £30 per team

Spectator Fee

There is a £5 spectator fee which is payable on arrival at the venue, cash only.

There is no spectator charge for children under 5 years of age.

Registration

All entries must be submitted via clubs through SportData, no entries will be accepted direct to the organiser. Entries close Friday 11th April.

Club Sensei will add their students to the registration website.

Catering

A catering facility will be available throughout the tournament.
